French revolution
The French Revolution The causes for the French revolution were Economic and social unrest. Examples of this are on April 28, 1789, French workers at a wallpaper factory rebelled against an owner who was going to lower their pay even though the economy was booming. They vandalized his home and forced him not to. The nobles did not worry about this rebellion, which would lead to revolution. By July unemployed and the hungry took to the streets in arms. All the poor urban class wanted was for the rich nobles to pay their share of taxes. Bad economic times also led to a French rebellion because the government had done years of deficit spending and costly wars, which meant that they had to tax people more to cover the costs. Some people tried to reduce government spending and to reform, but they were quickly shot down by nobles. Later on July 14 1789 Rebels seized a prison and killed five guards, today French people celebrate this as the beginning of their revolution. So basically the causes of the French Revolution was a bad economy and unfair taxes and lesser freedom for the lower classes. Below are pictures of the French Revolution.
The French Revolution changed from a government reformation to a bloody revolution because Great Fear spread panic among the townspeople. So instead of being killed first rebels went crazy on the Nobels. Rebels attacked Nobels and wealthy people for days, taking many lives. In 1792 the newly elected people declared war on Austria , Prussia, Britain, and other places.
